We worked collaboratively to draw irregular three, four and five sided shapes on the tarmac with chalk. We then used tape measures to calculate the length of each side. Once we had collated all measurements, we calculated the perimeter of each shape. Some groups had a go at constructing ‘body shapes’ while other group members calculated the perimeters.
