We have been looking at the features of ‘balanced discussions’. Today we examined a text as to whether or not pet ownership is a fruitful activity for children. We had to work together to see if we could find points in favour and those against. After that we worked collectively to gather a list of connectives to help us think about how we can present our debate so that the final discussion reads coherently and logically.
