We wanted to find out if the surface of the ramp affected the speed/ distance travelled by the car.
We then investigated if the height of the ramp affected the speed/ distance travelled by the car.
We found out that increased friction caused by the carpet surface compared to the smooth surface of the ramp slowed the car down and reduced the distance it travelled.
We also discovered that the car travelled faster and further as the height of the ramp increased.
