We have loved the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’ which we have used in our literacy, world around us and play based learning. We also really enjoyed reading an alternative version of the story called, The Little Red Hen Makes pizza. We have been very busy; writing CVC words in flour, pin a shape farm, puppet theatre, writing story words, making our own 2D shape pizzas, designing our own pizza on the computer, hot seating characters from the story, making our own windmills, tasting different types of bread and voting for our favourite.
