On Valentine's Day our school had a charity bun sale to raise money for a past pupil Rachel Cunningham. Rachel suffered a brain haemorrhage last February and needs to raise funds to help pay for her continued rehabilitation treatment. This was the first venture that our new school council took part in and it was a great success. The DCPS community showed their love for Rachel by raising a fantastic £450. 'The cherry on the cake' was when Rachel visited school yesterday and was able to meet some of the staff, school council and pupils.
The school council would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support, it is greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank Mrs Adams and Miss Martin who assisted in baking some of the buns, a council member's granny for baking the staff shortbread and Charlene our cook who kept us right in the kitchen.
