Mrs Callaghan drew a sun on Billy and Ella’s hand with an invisible security marker.
We could see these very clearly when we shone the UV light on them.
Then Billy rubbed Factor 50 sun cream on his hand, while Ella rubbed hand cream with no SPF on her hand.
When we shone the UV light on their hands again, we couldn’t see Billy’s sun any more, but Ella’s sun was still very visible.
This showed us how sun cream with a high protection factor protects our skin against the harmful UV rays in the sun.
