We had fun investigating how sunscreen protects our skin from UV rays.
We drew a sun on two children’s hands with a security pen and then shone a UV pen to see them.
Then we covered one sun with hand cream and the other sun with SPF 50.
When we shone the UV light on the children’s hands again, the SPF 50 prevented the UV rays from getting through to Emily’s skin.
