Today Mrs Murphys Year 4 class made butter.
We checked all the ingredients and followed a step-by-step recipe.
We discovered that butter is made from cream and not from milk or buttermilk.
Everyone took a turn shaking the cream in a jar until the butter separated. Then we poured off the buttermilk and spread the butter onto crackers.
We were able to eat our crackers to taste the unsalted butter; it was very good!
