Our mini rugby season got off to a great start yesterday as the boys headed down to Downshire to play 3 games against tough opposition. This was the first time the boys have had the chance to play together and play in competitive games.
They started the afternoon off playing against local rivals Downshire it took the boys most of the game to settle in and find their feet. They defended brilliantly but couldn’t get things moving in attack, the result was 4-0 in favour of Downshire. The boys were however only getting warmed up, they rallied together to face another tough opponent in Inchmarlo. The boys played a great game and things certainly started to click in attack, our boys ran out 2-0 winners. With confidence high from a great win the team was able to carry this momentum into their third and final game against Friends Prep, they put on a fantastic team display and comfortablely came away with a 9-2 win.
