Our school mini rugby season drew to a close on Thursday 18th May. We have been able to field 2 teams at most rugby festivals this year and everyone involved has played extremely well doing both themselves and the school proud. On Thursday 4th May we travelled the short distance to Banbridge Rugby club to take part in their festival. Our 'A' team came up against some stiff competition and finished the afternoon with a win, a draw and 2 losses. This was the first time that the 'B' team had played together and they fought bravely and played some great rugby, unfortunately the results did not go their way.
Two weeks later we staged our home festival at Dromore Rugby club. 11 teams in all descended on the club for what proved to be a glorious afternoon of mini rugby. Both our teams had grown in confidence and put on fantastic displays of rugby, the 'A' team wining 2 and losing 2 and the 'B' team won 3 and lost 1.
