We have enjoyed investigating the properties of different materials over the last few weeks. We collected sets of objects made from each material and talked about which were ‘natural’ and which were ‘man made’. We also investigated which materials floated and which sank in water, as well as thinking about the textures ‘rough’ and ‘smooth’. We enjoyed our journey stick walk where we looked for different materials to attach to our journey sticks, discussing what we found in our outdoor classroom. We had some green screen ‘workshop’ fun as we dressed up in hi vis vests with our tools. Have a look at some of the things we got up to.
