We carried out an investigation into the protection that sun cream offers against harmful UV rays.
We drew a sun on each of Daniel’s hands using an invisible security pen. Then we rubbed factor 50 sun cream over one hand and moisturiser without SPF over the other hand. When we shone a UV light on each hand, we could only see the picture of the sun on the unprotected hand! The high factor sun cream prevented the UV rays from illuminating the sun on the protected hand.
