We have been learning all about how the environment in the arctic is changing due to climate change. We filled water balloons with water and put them into our canteen freezers overnight. They changed from liquid to a solid, the water turned into ice!! We then pulled off the water balloon shell and explored the ‘iceberg’. To see this more clearly we used food colouring and it showed up the ice melting and turning back into water. We then used salt on top of the ice and watched as it accelerated the melting process.
