Edinburgh: Day 2
We have just completed a busy but excellent day 2 in Edinburgh. Everyone slept well and after a good breakfast to set us up for the day we headed to the National Museum of Scotland. After wondering round the various exhibits our next stop was Camera Obscura and Edinburgh Castle. Camera Obscura was a big hit with the young people, many commenting that it has been the highlight so far and despite the bad weather we enjoyed hearing the tales of Rob Roy MacGregor as we explored the castle.
Our day did not end there though as we set off to the town of Biggar and the Townhead Cafe for battered burgers and chips!! After dinner we attended the Victorian Puppet Theatre to experience ‘The Firebird’ puppet show!! Everyone is now tucked up in bed getting some well needed rest as we head off to Blair Drummond in the morning to play with the lions.
